Arusha

Day 1 - 2

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

Private transfer to a comfortable lodge nestled in a tranquil natural setting with scenic views.

Settle in and relax.

Optional: Swahili-style welcome dinner with local acoustic music or storytelling performance.

Private transfer time: Approx. 1 hour

Arusha, Tanzania

Visit a local coffee estate to experience the full bean-to-cup process on brewing coffee the Tanzanian way.

Afternoon visit to the Arusha Declaration Museum, which chronicles the country's path to independence 
under Julius Nyerere, and the Shanga Foundation, where disabled artisans create beautiful handmade crafts (glass, fabric, jewelry)

Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Ngorongoro

Day 3

Depart early after breakfast for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Descend 600 meters into the Crater for a full-day safari with picnic lunch.

Encounter the Big Five and enjoy the highland views. Overnight at a lodge in Ngorongoro or Karatu.

Vehicle transfer: Estimated 4 hours.

Serengeti

Day 4

Pre-dawn drive to Central Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate.

Upon arrival, ascend into a sunrise hot air balloon safari over the savannah followed by champagne bush breakfast in the heart of Serengeti.

Midday game drives through Seronera.

Return to Ngorongoro for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 5 - 8

When is the best time to visit Tanzania?

June–October is prime for the Serengeti and the Great Migration with dry, cooler days; Zanzibar is lovely most of the year. We run this journey year-round and tailor it to your preferred travel window.

What is included in the Tanzania Trails package?

Packages are priced per person and include lodging with breakfast, ground transportation, park transfers, guided game drives, and the activities listed in the itinerary. International flights and travel insurance are not included but can be arranged on request.

How much walking and activity should I expect?

Game-viewing is vehicle-based with moderate walking at lodges, Stone Town, and cultural visits; Zanzibar adds relaxed beach time. Let us know about mobility needs and we will adapt the pace.

Can the itinerary be customized?

Yes. We can adjust the pace, lodges, and excursions and add extensions such as Kilimanjaro, Tarangire, or extra Zanzibar nights. Contact us for a quote tailored to your group.

What documents do I need to enter Tanzania?

A passport valid at least six months beyond your departure date and a Tanzania visa (available as an e-visa). A yellow-fever certificate is required if arriving from a country where the disease is present.
