Glasgow

Day 1 - 2
  1. Day 1; Arrival in Glasgow

    Private transfer from Glasgow International Airport to hotel.

    Transfer time: Approx. 25 minutes.

  2. Day 2; Stirling Castle & Loch Lomond

    Morning visit to Stirling Castle, home to Mary Queen of Scots.

    Scenic drive along the shores of Loch Lomond.

    Return to Glasgow for the evening.

    Roundtrip drive time: Approx. 2.5 hours.

Inverness

Day 3
  1. Day 3; Travel to Inverness via Glen Coe & Loch Ness

    Journey through Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe, with photo stops.

    Drive by Loch Linnhe, Fort William, and pause at Loch Ness.

    Arrive in Inverness for overnight.

    Drive time: Approx. 5.5 hours (with stops: up to 7 hours)

Edinburgh

Day 4 - 7
  1. Day 4; Pitlochry & St. Andrews en route to Edinburgh

    Visit the charming resort town of Pitlochry.

    Continue to the historic university and golfing town of St. Andrews.

    Cross the Forth Road Bridge into Edinburgh.

    Drive time: Approx. 5 hours total

  2. Day 5; Edinburgh City Highlights

    Explore the capital city with a full-day guided tour.

    Visit Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and views of Arthur’s Seat.

    Optional activities: National Museum of Scotland, afternoon tea, or Holyrood Palace (exterior).

When is the best time to visit Scotland?
May–September brings the longest daylight and mildest weather, ideal for the Highlands; spring and autumn are quieter and atmospheric. We run this journey year-round and tailor it to your preferred travel window.
What is included in the Scouting Scotland package?
Packages are priced per person and include lodging with breakfast, ground transportation, guided tours, and the activities listed in the itinerary. International flights and travel insurance are not included but can be arranged on request.
How much walking should I expect?
A moderate amount, with walking around historic city centers, castles, and Highland viewpoints over uneven ground. A waterproof layer and comfortable shoes are recommended.
Can the itinerary be customized?
Yes. We can adjust the pace, hotels, and excursions and add extensions such as the Isle of Skye or a whisky trail. Contact us for a quote tailored to your group.
What documents do I need to enter Scotland?
A passport valid for the duration of your stay. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for short tourist visits to the UK, but check the current UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) requirement before you travel.
