PEARLAND, Texas — LABUSA Travel has officially launched its signature Echoes of Africa Tour, a culturally immersive travel experience designed to help members of the African Diaspora reconnect with their heritage through meaningful, on-the-ground experiences across Africa.
More than a vacation, the tour is positioned as a journey of identity, history, and homecoming — offering travelers the opportunity to explore ancestral connections through curated cultural experiences, historical site visits, and direct engagement with local communities.
"Echoes of Africa is about more than travel — it's about rediscovering who we are," said Martin Laster, Founder and CEO of LABUSA. "We created this experience to give people a deeper connection to their roots and a sense of belonging that goes beyond borders."
The tour responds to a growing demand for authentic, culturally grounded travel experiences as more Black travelers seek journeys that reflect identity, legacy, and community — not just sightseeing.
Designed for individuals, families, and groups, Echoes of Africa blends heritage storytelling, cultural immersion, and concierge-level travel support, creating a seamless and impactful experience from start to finish.
An Updated Route Across Four Regions of Africa
Since its announcement, the Echoes of Africa itinerary has been refined in response to a recognized U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) public health advisory and evolving travel guidance. The updated route now flows more naturally across the continent — from West Africa to Southern Africa to East Africa to North Africa — for a smoother, more cohesive journey.
- Ghana — Accra & Cape Coast (West Africa) · Jan 8–12
- South Africa — Johannesburg & Cape Town (Southern Africa) · Jan 13–17
- Kenya — Nairobi (East Africa) · Jan 17–20
- Egypt — Cairo & Giza (North Africa) · Jan 20–23
Travelers can choose the entry point that best fits their schedule and budget through three package options:
- 15-Day — the complete journey across all four regions (Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt).
- 10-Day A — West & Southern Africa (Ghana and South Africa).
- 10-Day B — Southern, East & North Africa (South Africa, Kenya, and Egypt).
This segmentation gives individuals, families, and groups more flexible ways to experience the tour while preserving the heritage-focused storytelling and concierge-level support at the heart of Echoes of Africa.
The Echoes of Africa Tour (EAT27) is now open for early registration, with limited availability.
