Aruba Pilots Digital Immigration System

The Aruba Tourism Authority, in partnership with technology companies SITA and Indicio, is testing new verifiable digital credential technology, to make entering the country more seamless. Called the Aruba Happy One Pass program, the system, which is currently being trialed with a limited number of visitors, will allow travelers to Aruba to fulfill government immigration requirements before boarding their flight with their "ready-to-fly" status being confirmed invisibly in the background.

Once its fully available, passengers arriving at Queen Beatrix International Airport will be able to use the Aruba Happy One Pass to apply for their travel authorization using a simplified process that eliminates the need for them to manually enter their information from paper travel documents. Instead using a Digital Travel Credential (DTC) that's been set up ahead of time, passengers can consent to share their relevant data directly from their digital wallet on their mobile device to multiple entities across their journey, from the government at the port of entry to other touchpoints such as hotels and car rental.
